Diesel Gate 2.0

Who qualifies?

If you previously or currently own a Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC II diesel vehicle listed below, please reach out and we can help you receive a payment from the $700M Mercedes-Benz Settlement. Deadline for former owners to file is July 12, 2021 and current owners have until October 1, 2022 to install their AEM and file a claim. Note: Car dealerships qualify.

Is this the same as Diesel Gate?

If auto manufacturers could learn anything from the VW Diesel Emissions scandal, it is that concealing information or flat out lying about your business practices can cost you dearly. VW settled with three federal agencies for $14,700,000,000 ($14.7 Billion), who sued over their deceitful business practices. Fast forward to 2021 and Mercedes-Benz has now settled for over $3,000,000,000 ($3 Billion) for allegedly installing a software feature that reduced emission output when their vehicles were being tested by regulators.

What Is the settlement amount?

The settlement will pay over $700,000,000 to owners of eligible vehicles and software updates will also be made to comply with federal regulators.

How large Is the class?

The litigation includes an estimated 250,000 Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC II diesel vehicles and Sprinter vans sold in the U.S between 2009 and 2016 that allegedly used emissions cheating software.

How do I know if I qualify?

Class Members and their monetary benefits generally fall into three categories:

1. Current owners and lessees whose Subject Vehicle receives an AEM and who submit a Valid Claim will receive $3,290 or, if an Eligible Former Owner or Eligible Former Lessee also submits a Valid Claim for that same vehicle, current owners/lessees will receive $2,467.50. Most Class Members will be current owners or lessees.

2. Eligible Former Owners and Former Lessees will receive up to $822.50 for each vehicle, which will be divided equally among the Eligible Former Owners and Eligible Former Lessees who submit Valid Claims related to the same vehicle.

3. Eligible Post-Announcement Owners and Eligible Post-Announcement Lessees whose Subject Vehicle receives an AEM and who submit a Valid Claim will receive $2,467.50 per Subject Vehicle

Is there an official claim website?

You can file a claim on your own by going to the settlement website: https://www.mbbluetecsettlement.com.

However, less than 5% of eligible claimants typically file claims. It is a headache to file on your own and good luck when you have questions; administrators do not have representatives to answer your calls.

Is it worth my time?

Certificate Clearing Corporation (CCC) cures this headache by doing all the heavy lifting so you just have to deposit the payments.

What we oo

– CCC will register your vehicle(s) for an approved emission modification (AEM)

– After receiving AEM documentation, we file your claim(s) and closely monitor the audit process

– If a deficiency arises, we work with the administrator to ensure claims are perfected

– To avoid the uncertainty, our firm can purchase your eligible claim and pay you long before the settlement distributes.
